Report on yoga day celebration organized by IQAC, SUM College of Teacher education on June 21, 2023
Introduction:
On June 21, 2023, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC); SUM College of Teacher education hosted the yoga day celebration. The program’s goal was to help participants comprehend the value of and methods for practicing yoga. Director of the Punarajani Yoga Center Chakkarakkal, Mr. Govindan Master, served as the program’s resource.

Mr. Govindan master, the esteemed resource person for the program, brought a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of yoga.
program content:
The show concentrated on the significance of yoga in the modern world and featured demonstrations of several yoga asanas, along with information on their significance and how to perform them correctly. Among the issues being discussed are:
1. Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation:
It is ideal to perform the Surya Namaskar steps first thing in the morning while feeling empty. Two sets of yoga positions, each consisting of 12 poses, make up each cycle of the Sun Salutation.
2. Meditative asanas:
∙ Siddhasana (Adept Pose)
∙ Vajrasana (Sitting on the heels)
∙ Swastikasana (Auspicious Pose)
Program impact:
Everyone who takes part in the yoga day celebration program, including faculty members, students, and other non-teaching staff, benefits greatly.
