Sum College of Teacher Education’s IQAC in association with the NSS Unit commemorated Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, 2024, with a meaningful campus cleaning drive. The event was a testament to the college’s commitment to social responsibility and environmental stewardship.

All teachers, NSS volunteers, and students actively participated in the cleaning drive, contributing to the overall cleanliness and beautification of the college campus. The initiative was aimed at creating a healthier and more conducive learning environment for everyone.

The management generously sponsored snacks for all participants, providing a much-needed boost of energy during the cleaning drive. The event was a resounding success, fostering a sense of community and promoting the values of cleanliness and environmental awareness.

The Social Science Club held a pencil drawing competition at 02:00 pm on 03/10/2024 at college library with the theme “Gandhi and the Freedom Struggle.” Students participated enthusiastically, creating artwork that reflected Gandhi’s influence on India’s independence movement.

Participants were provided with canvases and had a dedicated time to express their creativity. A panel of teachers judged the entries based on creativity and thematic relevance.

The event was a success, encouraging artistic expression and a deeper appreciation of Gandhi’s legacy. Prizes were awarded to the top three artists, highlighting their exceptional talent. The club looks forward to organizing more events that celebrate history and culture.
