
Women’s Day was observed with great enthusiasm and reverence at SUM College of Teacher Education on March 10th, 2025, in the college auditorium. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Shobha S, the Principal of Salafi BEd College, Chekkikulam. The occasion was marked by a series of insightful speeches and discussions, aimed at celebrating the achievements and empowering women in all spheres of life.
Mr. Krishnakumar EP, a faculty member of the college, delivered a heartfelt felicitation address, appreciating the contributions of women in various fields and underscoring the importance of gender equality in society. His speech set the tone for the event, highlighting the role of education and awareness in empowering women.
Dr. Shobha S, the chief guest, addressed the gathering with a detailed talk on women’s empowerment. She discussed the importance of educating women and creating a conducive environment for them to grow and excel in every domain. Her speech touched upon various allied subjects, including gender equality, women’s rights, and the significance of breaking traditional barriers that restrict women’s potential. She also emphasized the role of both men and women in working together to achieve true empowerment.
The event was an inspiring and thought-provoking experience for all present, providing valuable insights into the importance of women’s empowerment in today’s society. The celebration not only honored the achievements of women but also served as a reminder of the continuous effort needed to support and uplift them. A part of this our students arranged an inter B.Ed photography contest.
