The International Human Rights Day celebration, originally scheduled for December 10th, was postponed to December 11th, 2024, due to a bus strike. The event, held in the Smart Classroom, featured a keynote speech by Krishnalumar EP, IQAC Coordinator. In his address, Mr. EP highlighted the significance of human rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the ongoing challenges to these rights globally and locally. He emphasized the importance of upholding human rights principles within academic institutions and society at large. Following the speech, Amaljith P K, Assistant Professor in Mathematics, coordinated the administration of a Human Rights Oath. The oath reaffirmed the participants’ commitment to respect human dignity, equality, and justice, and pledged to work towards a more just and equitable society. The event successfully raised awareness about human rights issues and promoted a culture of respect and tolerance.
